My

Once Upon a Time

I was born on September 20th, 2002 at 1:35 AM, in Ivry-sur-Seine, France,

to a French father and Vietnamese Mother.

🇦🇨

My parents called me Trúc Hà, a name my maternal grandfather had come up with, which translates to “Little Bamboo By The River”.

A name I had a difficult relationship with growing up because it was deemed difficult to pronounce,

a name I had to learn to embrace,

one that i have now built my entire life mission around.

Growing up, I

was hypersensitive & curious

I loved learning, reading and writing stories. I was attuned to people’s emotions and energy.

My minerals/crystals collection started when I was seven. I wrote my first book at thirteen.

was wounded & lonely

I was bullied and isolated throughout my childhood for being different and good at school.

I had few friends and struggled to relate to my peers.

was lost & numb

I didn’t know what i wanted to do or who to become but was vehemently against being unhappy like my parents were.

I wanted to find my path, badly.

2022

The year everything shifted

The year I turned 20 was an eventful year to say the least.

I had gone to therapy for the first time in 2021 and stopped because i was doing okay. I still felt unsure of what was in the cards for me but no longer was obsessed with urgently figuring it out.

I started getting interested in fashion and figuring out my personal style. I met my best friend in university and was more confident, more at peace than i had ever been since i was 4.

This, is when I learned about RTT

Back then, I used to consume a lot of self-development content and ended up watching a podcast featuring Marisa Peer, the founder of RTT.

I was hooked, immediately.

i had no reason to look into hypnotherapy, which I had not known even existed, because I was studying applied linguistics to become an English teacher.

But for some unknown reason, I checked it out and felt this tremendous urge to learn it. I ignored it - for months - only to bite early august and be accepted into Marisa Peer’s school later that month.

Two months later, I ended up desperately needing the skills I had just started learning because of a family situation that went from bad to worse in a weekend.

I do not mean it lightly when I say this:

learning RTT when I did saved my mom and I’s life.

Becoming Bamboo

was not immediate.

 3 Years in the Making

I started a Master’s Degree (MA TESOL) and became a contractual teacher at the same time.

It was supposed to be an exception, a quick detour before getting back on track.

It was not.

I paused my MA to work as a contractual teacher for a second year.

I tried making it to the end of the year. I could not. I knew I was in the wrong path, I felt it.

I ended up burning out, badly.

I learned web design when i was at my lowest, for something to do.

I then started Becoming Bamboo on YouTube, slowly figuring what it was that I could do and who I wanted to help.

This is when crystals called my name and I learned lithotherapy.

Becoming Bamboo was not just born,

it was grown.

So, who is Bamboo?
